A recent interview with Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost, in the Biznes Klasa programme sparked a heated debate online. Mr Brzoska drew attention to two key issues. The first is the likelihood that 25% of jobs could disappear within the next two years. The second is the sluggishness of Polish business and public administration in preparing for the sweeping changes brought about by the widespread adoption of AI in business.
As an AI and strategy expert, I had the opportunity to comment on these observations on the ONET #Wiem programme. It is worth examining why the words of such an experienced leader, one with an exceptional perspective, carry so much weight for anyone managing an organisation.
AI in Business for Leaders. Why Brzoska’s Warning Is No Myth
Many in leadership roles question the scale of AI’s impact on the job market. A common counterargument is that, historically, technology has replaced specific roles while creating new ones. However, when it comes to the future with AI, both the speed and the scale of change are surprising even to seasoned AI engineers.
Adopting a “wait-and-see” strategy and failing to prepare for these new realities could prove to be a painful lesson. Data from the Polish Economic Institute’s report AI in the Polish Labour Market supports these concerns. It shows that 3.5 million jobs in Poland are susceptible to automation. Moreover, contrary to popular myths, the most significant changes will affect specialists, managers, and creators. Sectors such as finance and insurance are expected to feel the effects of AI adoption most acutely.
AI as a Test of Maturity. Does Your Company Have an AI Strategy?
AI is also a litmus test for organisations that have relied on imitation for years and have never developed processes for creating original solutions. Avoiding innovation may save resources in the short term, but it also strips companies of the ability to search for valuable solutions and bring them to market.
AI is a maturity test: the level of adaptation and the speed at which profits are generated from AI reveal which companies have a truly embedded culture of innovation, as opposed to one that merely exists on paper. Brzoska’s interview made this point in no uncertain terms. Voices like that of the InPost CEO are invaluable because they galvanise leaders into strategic thinking.
How to Prepare Your Company for the AI Revolution. Strategic Workshops for the Board
At Booster of Innovation, we work with companies on multiple levels to prepare them for the new AI-driven business landscape. Our answer to the challenges highlighted by Brzoska includes the AI War Room workshop. This simulation tests how artificial intelligence could “hack” a company, its processes and business model. The outcome is not only an awareness of real threats but, more importantly, the discovery of enormous potential and entirely new growth paths.
In addition, we offer practical workshops as part of our AI Academy, equipping employees with one of the most valuable future skills – effective collaboration with AI. Rather than focusing solely on prompting, we teach how to leverage AI to boost creativity, analytical and strategic thinking, and organisational resilience. This approach speeds up processes, reduces costs, and helps avoid common pitfalls.
AI Implementation Strategy. How to Avoid AI-Driven Layoffs
The AI revolution is already underway. The question is not if, but how your business will benefit from it. If managers fail to plan and gradually integrate AI into workflows, it may soon be too late for minor adjustments. This could result in the radical job cuts Brzoska warned about.
The good news? There is still time to prepare.
Would you like to see how an AI War Room could look in your organisation – and turn risk into a strategic advantage? I invite you to a free 15-minute consultation.
