The primary objective of the new regulations is to help audiences identify when content-including images, audio, text and video-has been generated or manipulated by artificial intelligence.

Particular attention has been given to so-called deepfakes and AI-generated content relating to matters of public interest that have not undergone meaningful human review and verification.

Given these regulatory shifts, it’s critical to reevaluate our approach to communication strategy.

Ethics Before Algorithms

If you publish content generated entirely by AI without human editorial review, the new requirements indicate that such content should be clearly identified as AI-generated.
